This dehumidifier is an excellent value. All dehumidifiers make a little noise. They are small air conditioning units in a way, and they have a blower to circulate the air. Since those are confined to a small space, and move a bit of air, and have a compressor, you will hear some noise. And simply by the nature of carrying 6.25 gallons of water in a tank to empty it, it will be a bit awkward. But neither of these things keep me from rating this with 5-stars. It does its job very well, is rather quiet, and thanks to an ingenious tank slide-out, and carry handle, emptying the tank is a piece of cake. And boy, does this thing dehumidify! First two days it sucked a total of 6 tankfuls of water out of our basement air. That’s over 36 gallons of water. Lowered the humidity from almost 70% to just over 50%, that’s on continuous run. Now we’ve got it set to 60% and we’ll see how that works. Love this frigidaire fad504tdd unit. Hadn’t bought a dehumidifier in over 20 years, so was skeptical that with today’s cheap manufacturing standards, we would have a hard time finding a decent unit. Not so. This Frigidaire deserves the exceptional ratings it has received to date, and we are completely satisfied with our purchase.

Frigidaire FAD704TDP

This frigidaire fad704tdp dehumidifier really pulls a lot of water from the air very quickly. In the Illinois summer humidity it fills twice a day (when we have the air conditioning off). When full, the unit shuts off, a light goes on, and the bucket is very easy to remove and empty when you notice it is off. The filter light comes on after about 2 weeks as a reminder, and the filter slides right out with a little tug. Cleaning it only takes a minute. It kicks out some heat, but, because it lowers the humidity, the room feels more comfortable anyway. The built in hygrometer seems to be accurate because I have another one I checked it against. I’ve only had this for a month, so I can’t comment yet on its longevity, but I will edit the review when I’ve had it for awhile. I shopped around, and the price on Amazon was by far the best. With the Amazon prime trial it arrived in 2 days, no shipping charge.

Frigidaire FRA054XT7

This machine is fantastic. Is very efficient, silent, does not vibrate, excellent readouts on the display and pulls a lot of water from the air (I live in Florida, you can swim in this air). It does not include a pump, but it has a connection to put a regular garden hose out to an external pump (Which you buy separate, they are very cheap). Since the pump will probably die sooner than the main unit, I will just buy a new pump at that time. Now, if you will put that pump out of view (as I did, in the AC closet), put also a water alarm: when the pump dies, you will know and turn off the dehumidifier, not to flood the neighbors. I got it all at Amazon and it works fantastic.

Frigidaire FAA055P7A

Love the unit especially the timer, energy saver and the remote control. This product works very well and is very energy efficient. One of the best decisions I made was to get rid of my 20 year old unit which would dim the power when the compressor kicked on and buy this air conditioner.

I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a small window unit. We have had four in the past and this by far has been the best. Thanks Frigidaire and Amazon for keeping us cool and comfy in 100+ temps!

Asus ml238h

Some significant differences between this monitor (ML238H) and the MS238H that my son just bought a couple of weeks ago are:

1) The warranty on the ML238H is 3 years parts & labor whereas the MS238H monitor is only 2 years.
2) The color on back of this monitor is a very pretty piano white (easier to plug in power cord,
HDMI, RGB, etc.) whereas the back of the MS238H is black and thus hardier to see where to plug in.
3) Last but not least, the new and improved stand on this monitor is swivel and tilt instead of just tilt with
the ring stand on the MS238H monitor. This new and improved stand is sturdy, beautiful, and solves all the
complaints of the MS model. I needed the monitor to be above the table top to give me more room for the
cords connected to my laptop.

The only con is the touch sensitive buttons that take some getting used to at first but I seem to be much better at using them now on the 2nd day. If you buy this monitor you won’t regret it.

It just arrived and I’ve been looking for drill bits since then. I see all the glowing reviews and only a couple of mentions that you have to use hex shank drill bits. I only read a dozen reviews before ordering, practically salivating over the great reviews. I did not realize the drill would also be a hex drive and that there’s a truly limited drill bit selection on the market. The quality of most two-piece bits has been called into question on reviews of those bits. I am considering buying the adapt-a-drive keyed chuck (by Jacobs) so I can use the vast array of round bits already on hand and I did buy a set of Ryobi TiN coated bits with hex drives to try (hmmm????). I have gobs of driver stuff on hand and found that most sets only provide 5 or 6 drill bits with 30 pcs of redundant driver parts. I’d love to know how others are getting so much happy drilling done?? Thanks for any advice/input on the real business end of the work, now that we all know the units are GREAT.These two little Makita’s are super! I have had this set for over 2 years and they get the most use (home improvement business). I also have the big brother Makita’s 18volt lith. I keep going to these two in most of my jobs because they are small , light and very powerful. The batteries last a long time and recharge quickly. Again, Makita has a true winner here.
But , what’s with the fancy storage box?…keep the tin box and give me a 3rd battery in the package. Overall this combo is very very good.I ordered these through a “deal of the day” and I am very pleased with the size and power of these little units. I read the review criticizing the drill for not having an adjustable chuck but that is not a factor. I have bits that fit into this chuck already. The best part is that I throw these into my tool bag and they fit without adding extra bulk. The charger is even relatively compact. The power, especially for the impact driver is adequate for my needs. I couldn’t be more pleased.

In the fitness industry, the debate revolving around the treadmill vs elliptical continues and for good reasons, too. On one hand, ellipticals and treadmills are essentially cardiovascular fitness equipment designed to promote exercise movements with the expected benefits being improved levels of endurance, increased metabolic rate and better overall health particularly where the heart and lungs are concerned. On the other hand, treadmills have definite advantages over elliptical trainers and vice versa. With this article, we shall endeavor to put in our two cents’ worth of opinion.

Both treadmills and elliptical trainers provide for low-impact exercises since the motions involved are similar to the natural movements while walking and running. However, the elliptical trainer is preferred by many fitness enthusiasts because it offers no impact upon contact with the foot pedals. You will observe that most people with joint problems in the lower back, knees and ankles go on to the elliptical trainer more than on the treadmill.

This is possible because your feet do not leave the pedals during the entire workout session. Now, contrast that with walking or running on a treadmill when the foot impacts on the tread surface. So, in the debate of treadmill vs elliptical, the latter wins in the low to no impact category.

Still, we must emphasize that the no-impact benefit of elliptical can also work against its favor. Keep in mind that the impact made by the foot on the tread surface significantly contributes to the formation of stronger bones. Thus, if you have no joint problems and you want stronger bones, then we suggest the treadmill as the better exercise equipment.

Yet another advantage to treadmills is the better training opportunities for the fitness enthusiasts who prefer running as a form of exercise or who engage in running for competitive purposes. It definitely beats enduring the inclement weather when you have to train for a marathon.

But therein also lies one of the main points in the treadmill vs elliptical comparisons. Because the treadmill can only provide for running exercises with a few degrees of incline and decline, there is little variety in the workouts. Take note that for average exercisers and fitness fanatics alike, the wide variety of possible workouts achieves two things. You will be able to ward off boredom from the repetitive movements and you can challenge your body in new ways. In this case, the elliptical trainers win the bout, so to speak.

Also, treadmills can only provide for lower body workouts since the movements are concentrated on the hips down to the legs. In contrast, ellipticals provide for both upper and lower body workouts, thanks to the movements required of the feet on the pedals and the hands on the handlebars. Still, if it is only lower body workouts that you are after, then a treadmill should suffice.

So, if you are to choose between the treadmill vs elliptical, it will boil down to your personal needs and preferences. Read the features and benefits of the fitness equipment before making your decision especially as money is involved.

I bought it on sale from William Sonoma for $99. I had to drive out of state to buy a display model to get it. Having owned it for two weeks, knowing what I know. I would have paid double for this, if I had to. In two weeks, I made about 12 batches of gelato and all of them were great. I made gelatos in many different ways… few batches using store bough mix, several following recipes exactly, several deviating from the recipe (reduce sugar) and several I totally made up because I have over ripe bananas or just wanted to experiment. They all turned out great. Recipes are very forgiving. It is not like baking. Make the mix and if it tastes good, it will make good gelato. My wife said “You rock and you suck at same time” since she is concerned about me turning out gelatos she can’t resist. Her favorite so far is lemon gelato. I seriously doubt stores use freshly grated lemon peel and freshly squeezed lemon juice. For that reason, I think it taste much better than store bought.

Few minor flaws.. Liquid can drip into certain area and can be very difficult to clean it out. Also, one batch was left on little too long and got hard and the plastic paddle that was supposed to scrape the bowl wall was bent. It sprung back later but I can see the paddle gradually getting bent and not scraping the freezer bowl like it is supposed to. I may just order replacement paddle in advance. Scooping out the gelato is kind of pain and messy mainly because of the paddle. I did not have problems with freezer bowl sticking because I made sure there were no liquid there to begin with. As long as you keep it dry, no need to mess with alcohol like they suggest.

With ice cream price being what they are in stores (Gelatos, if you can find them, are more expensive) I think this was a great purchase, especially at $99.

While I was impressed with the results of the Shark Electric Steam Mop for over two years, the Eureka Hard-Surface Floor Steamer is much, much better. Other reviewers have done a wonderful job of comparing various models, and I thank them for doing so, because their research helped me make a good purchasing decision. For the purpose of this review, I’ll just note that the Eureka is far quieter (almost silent!), far more efficient (although it produces less visible steam, there is no need to tediously move back and forth over the same area for several minutes before seeing a tremendous difference), and doesn’t require any separate pull-push action to release steam onto the floor. It’s a fabulous product! I am so thrilled with it that I gave away my Shark, as well as my “heavy-duty” tile vacuum, the Hoover FloorMate SpinScrub Wet/Dry Vacuum Cleaner.

Note: While some people don’t feel that the Eureka cleans grout well, I think it does a stellar job — just a bit less than what actually scrubbing with a grout brush will accomplish (incidentally, the grout brush attachment with the Hoover system didn’t cause any noticeable improvement).

I used to use the Black & Decker 18volt cordless lawn tools that used those horrible ni-cad batteries that never lasted more than a year and required holding your breath just right in order for them to charge back to full, and even then, it seems that most after a few times of use would never charge back enough to give full power to the tools (the bush trimmer, after only a few uses was virtually worthless because none of the batteries could charge fully enough to give it enough power to go thru anything). I finally got tired and frustrated with continually low charge and no power to do anything and have been gradually replacing the B&D 18v Ni-Cad yard tools with the Worx line of Li-Ion cordless lawn tools. I’ve had the worx weed whacker since christmas, and I love it – not only does it maintain full battery charge for longer than the old Black & Deckers, but it was much more powerful than the B&D was the first time I used them. With this trimmer, I’ve never run out of battery in the middle of doing the front yard like I used to (so frustrating to have to leave your yard half done while you charge batteries overnight!), and if I ever do run it down, it only takes 30mins. to charge it and get back to work. I’ve never fully it run it down to see, but I think I usually get at least an hours run time out of one battery, which is more than enough. The only drawback to the Worx weed whacker is the small spools – sure you can order 6 spools for $6 from Worx online, but it runs thru them very quickly because they are very small spools that don’t hold a lot of string – but this is an annoyance I can live with – I estimate I am using about one spool every 2-3 weeks in the summer. I also like the fact that the Worx tools are much smaller and streamlined than the B&D tools, not just the battery, but the motor housing is smaller too – not a bunch of unnecessarily large plastic housing, but the weed whacker handle still extends out to a comfortable length for taller people. I guess B&D makes their lawn tools look big and bulky so the men will feel manly when they use them, but I’m a petite woman, and I appreciate that Worx doesn’t make their tools any larger than they need to be, while still functioning perfectly and having plenty of power. So for anyone out there still struggling with crappy NI-Cad yard tools and perpetually low batteries – get the Worx Li-ion tools – you won’t regret it.

Just plug the toner into the network drop you are looking for and use the probe to locate it on the patch panel. Highly recommend to anyone in the IT/networking field.

I bought it and I used it since the first day. It sound a loud when I found a wire.
You can program this tool to send a continus sound or a intermiten sound.
You can trace wire on non-active networks

It come with one RJ11 connector and two alligator clip.
You need two 9v batteries.

I think is a great tool, great price and works perfect.

When you shop for a shipping container you may find a variety of prices available. It is easy to buy the first cheap container you find. You must, however, understand what goes into shipping containers prices in order to determine if that great deal is really as good as it seems. There are many aspects that affect the cost of shipping containers: size availability, location, condition, how long you need the unit, and added features or modifications.

Size can affect your price, because a more common size like a 20 foot or 40 foot steel container will be a better bargain since there are more available. It will also be easier to find these sizes second-hand, as there are the most common especially for shipping overseas. If you need a larger or smaller size container you may have to shop around more to get a good deal.

Your physical location can also affect your container price. If you are located near a seaport, you have a better chance of being near multiple container retailers. You may even be able to get a good used steel container from your local shipping yard. If, however, you live far away from accessible containers, you may have to pay to have it shipped to you. You may also not be able to get the best pick since you cannot view it in person. If you do chose to see units in person, you will have to travel to do so. Be sure to also check for train stations in your vicinity.

How long you need a container is an important determining factor when pricing shipping containers. You should review prices for new, used and rentals. New containers are, of course, the most expensive, but they are best for actual shipping purposes. If you plan to use your container for self storage or moving, a used container is a great option. It is cheaper and most likely still in very usable condition. Rentals are the way to go if you only need a container for a very short time. If you think a rental may be best for you, be sure to check out used containers too. Maybe you can find a good deal that will make it possible for you to use and then resell the container later. You may even be able to find another purpose for a container such as extra storage around your home.

Condition and age also affect price when a container is used or rented. This should not be a factor for a new container as it should be in prime condition. Be sure to check, however, that someone is not trying to sell you a used container with a great paint job and claiming it as new. When inspecting a container for condition, be sure to look for any cracks or holes that will compromise the stay-dry integrity of the container. You will also want to make sure that all doors are working properly.

The final determining factor for shipping containers prices is modifications or added features. A basic steel container comes with no extras. It will be just be plain and sturdy, possibly with a door if it is a big container. There are a multitude of container modification options. If you are planning to use it for building purposes you can have extra doors, windows, electricity, sanitation, and insulation put in. If you plan to use the container for a portable vendor cart or storage unit, you may wish to have a roll-up door installed for easy access. Another good choice is a refrigerated container to store bulk food. Other options include special door locks, paint, and business logo application. Most container retailers, like Aztec Containers, offer these variations, or you can purchase a standard container and do the installations yourself. Modifications are a great option to multiply the uses of your shipping container.

You’re not shopping online? Of course you are. Everybody shops online these days, and every company has online stores. Some buy a lot, and some a little. The benefits include lower prices through online shopping discounts, quick and easy price comparisons, and convenience. But if you are not taking advantage of the staggering promotions that retailers are and will continue to offer, you are simply leaving a whole lot of money on the table.

Money Saving Tip #1:	Take A Minute to Compare Prices

Checking the prices offered by different retailers is so easy these days. Most people use search engines like Google and Bing to instantly view competing retailers and compare prices in seconds. This in and of itself is an awesome convenience that wasn’t reality just a handful of years ago, but you can take it a step further. There are websites that showcase thousands of retailers from one place so you can have a one stop shopping hub to start from every time you need to shop from home. There are too many of these sites out there to name, but you’ve probably heard of Amazon.com.

Money Saving Tip #2:	Milk The Retailer With Affiliate Commissions

The competition is so steep between online shopping retailers that they are actually willing to pay you or anybody else that “refers” shoppers to their websites. They do this through affiliate commissions. On top of rock bottom bargain basement prices, they will also pay a commission to affiliates. When you sign up as an affiliate, anything purchased by you or any shoppers that find the shopping website through your affiliate link will generate a commission that will be paid directly to you by the retailer. Pretty sweet, huh? The only drawback here is that it can become time consuming signing up with many stores and keeping track of your links.

Money Saving Tip #3:	Milk The Retailer Even More

On top of competitive pricing and affiliate commissions, there are always online shopping promotions called “coupon codes”. These codes are usually only good for a short time period, but after you shop once at an online store, they will likely email you new discount coupons that can yield substantial savings. I have used coupon codes that were good for 50% discounts, and still received affiliate commissions.

Money Saving Tip #4:	Make Money With Your Own Online Shopping Mall

You can actually get your own shopping website that features thousands of retailers with all the affiliate links built in. Remember the drawback to keeping track of all your affiliate links? No need to worry. You only need to sign up once and you can shop from home all day long. They track all the affiliate links and sales. If you do all your personal shopping through your website, meaning household products, clothes, shoes, personal care products, etc., amazing things can happen. Not only can you quickly and easily compare prices, after you buy at rock bottom discounts, you will actually get paid from the retailers to shop.
